VH1 Metal Mania
at the Key Club

What do you get when you ask 15 big time 80's bands to do an acoustic each and then put it all on one compilation? You get "VH1 Classic Metal Mania: STRIPPED". Sidewinder Music recruited the likes of the Scorpions, Tesla, Night Ranger, Warrant, Poison, Great White and 9 other bands for this new release, which is now available at your favorite record store. With every new release you have to throw a party and the Key Club in Hollywood was the venue chosen for tonight's gala.
The e-mail said get there early, as the event was sure to be sold out. They were correct on that one. In fact, when I left there were still a couple hundred people in line trying to get in. Tonight's performers included Freddie Curcei (Alias), L.A. Guns, Slaughter, Kip Winger, Jani Lane (Warrant), Great White, and Night Ranger. Each band played a few songs and it was great seeing them up close and personal in such a cool venue. The show was being filmed but by press time I wasn't able to find out any information. I will pass along anything I find out.
